In a celebrity death match, my money’s still on Marie

By Blake Fontenay
January 31st, 2008

Endorsing a candidate isn’t for the faint of heartLooks like Mitt Romney has some catching up to do in the race to pick up celebrity endorsements.

Today, rival John McCain picked up the endorsement of actor-turned-California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. And of course actor-turned-exercise equipment pitchman Chuck Norris has been stumping for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee for weeks.

So what should Romney do? Well, why not enlist the help of the most famous Mormon celebrity in the world?

That’s right, I’m talking about Marie Osmond. (Oh, wait. I think she already has endorsed Romney.)

Anyway, I’m sure she could be a big help to Romney on the campaign trail. Just don’t ask her to dance.
