A couple of possibilities here

Memphibians who worry that our city is falling too far behind Nashville might view the following tidbit as a ray of hope:
According to an editorial in today’s edition of The Tennessean, Nashville is thinking about redeveloping the 117-acre property that’s currently home to the Tennessee State Fair.
If Nashville’s community leaders get as bogged down with their fairground redevelopment plans as our city’s leaders have with ours, then maybe there’s a chance we could close that civic gap a little.
Unless of course we don’t -- and Nashville finishes its fairground redevelopment while we’re still dithering with ours.
Pick whichever scenario seems most likely to you.
