Well, I’m back to blogging after spending a couple of days up the river (northern Missouri, not jail) and then getting caught up on a few things around the office yesterday.

But I can’t let Amos Maki’s story from Saturday pass without comment. In case you missed it, the City of Memphis is thinking about hiring a vendor to provide traffic signal cameras that would automatically record and send tickets to people who run red lights.

Only the city isn’t sharing the names of the vendors.

Or the names of the members of a selection committee that will pick the vendors.

Or basically any other information that might reassure citizens that this deal is on the up and up.

So someone remind me, what holiday were we celebrating on Friday again?
