A disaster preparedness expo is set for Wednesday, April 30, at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. It is set for 4 to 7 p.m. and sponsored by the Memphis & Shelby County Health Department and Volunteer Memphis. It will feature volunteer opportunities as well as disaster preparation tips for families and businesses.

Representatives of both the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program and the Public Health Reserve Corps will be on hand anxious to sign up volunteers. For more information, call 544-6845 or visit the program Web site.
