Winner: Folk’s Folly Prime Steak House

The venerable Folk’s Folly has undergone a transformation in the last few years, thanks in large part to Huey’s Thomas Boggs, now CEO and managing partner. Working closely with the Folk family, Boggs has updated the décor and furniture and brought a new focus on the food and service.

“We just went back and raised the standards back to where they were,” says Boggs, who notes that while restaurant sales in general and at steakhouses in particular around the U.S. are flat, sales at Folk’s Folly are up. “People like to support a home-owned restaurant. … And in the last two to three years, Folk’s Folly has turned around and become a great restaurant again.”
