Winner: Dave Brown

Dave Brown is a Memphis institution. Forecasting the highs and lows of Memphis weather for 30 years at WMC-TV Channel 5, Brown is as familiar of a face as Elvis in the Bluff City. Voted by readers as Most Consistent Weathercaster, Brown says the honor is a testament to his fellow forecasters as well. “We all work together,” says Brown of his colleages Ron Childers, John Bryant and Tim Van Horn. “The combination of all of our efforts plays into it.”

While Brown is occasionally ribbed by viewers when the forecast doesn’t go their way, he says that everyone understands that his job is “as much of an art as a science.”

“I am eternally grateful,” says Brown of being the readers’ choice. “It’s a great honor and very humbling.”
