What was once Bell South cell phone service acquired the old AT&T Wireless. It was then renamed Cingular Wireless, and now it is … the new AT&T? Say what?
Confusing, yes. But while the name has changed, the service has stayed the same. Readers voted Cingular Wireless the Most Reliable Mobile Phone Service, but with the takeover by AT&T complete in December 2006, the company’s name is now the new AT&T.
And if you want one of those high-tech new Apple iPhones, AT&T is the exclusive dealer until at least 2009.
