Pets on my Mind

I watched the most horrific video this weekend called "Off the Chain." It's a shocking expose on America's forsaken breed, the pitbull. I love this breed and I think what is happening to them in America is absolutely our nation's shame, but watching this video was just traumatizing. The images are unrelenting and bloody. There was a scene in the last two minutes of the murder of a little dog that wouldn't fight that has left me scarred for life. I just can't get it out of my mind.
Unfortunately, this director's access to this underground world is also his downfall. No one with an ounce of humanity can watch this video unfold and not be repulsed and disturbed. I would love to recommend this video to everyone as a must see, but there's no one I know that I would inflict this torture on, even those that like me, are outraged by what happens to that breed. I wish it had been different, more information, more interviews with people who hurt these animals and a lot less of them being hurt. Its brutal images will take me a long time to get over. I feel like a crime victim.
