Some of you -- if you frequent MySpace or the Goner message board -- are familiar with the tales of ex-cop, ex-gumshoe, and ex-private dick Skag Winesack. For those of you who aren't, check out Skag's new blog on Cracked.com.

EJ Friedman has been publishing a new music blog, chock full of exclusive content: downloads, editorial reviews, links, theatrical anecdotes (downing Jager shots with members of Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins, etc.). Check it out here.

Be sure to check out the item on the return of This Is Goodbye, another show I'm missing tonight due to whatever cholera or dysentery I've got. Not pleasant, I tell you ...

Collin C. answered my call for links for the new site, and I've been enjoying his See, Sip, Taste & Hear blog the past few minutes. It's all about photography, wine, food and music. Check it out. It's making me thirsty.

We've been getting inundated with comment spam this week, so the comments will be turned off for a day or two. Also, we're in the process of switching this blog over to the new Commercial Appeal Web site, so there might be some downtime on posting. I'll follow up soon.

* Some of you may know Carlos Moore as one of the cut-and-scratch masters in the Memphis FEEL-HARMONIC DJ Symphony Orchestra, but he's also a computer whiz and a fine photographer. Check out his interactive media site here.

* The Memphisto's Bluff group on Flickr has a knockout selection of Memphis images. I especially enjoyed the album of pictures from closing night at Anderton's.
